Design Inspiration: Oriental Freehand & Glimmering Forest

The design is inspired by the depiction of orchids and bamboo in traditional Oriental Xieyi (freehand) painting, and the serene beauty of a forest floor under morning light. We sought to capture the dynamic beauty of flowers subtly appearing and fluttering in the mist. The patterns are dispersed, and the saturation and density are intentionally kept low to maintain the fabric's maximum airiness and lightness. It conveys a subtle, reserved, and poetic artistic aesthetic.

Craftsmanship Details

• Light Translucent Base: Uses a highly translucent sheer or organza base to ensure the fabric's extreme lightness and fluid drape.

• Freehand Line Embroidery: The floral motifs are embroidered with fine multi-colored threads in varying densities of line work, mimicking the look of a calligraphy brushstroke and the delicacy of ink wash. The motifs are left largely unfilled to preserve their ethereal quality.

• Low-Saturation Palette: The entire color scheme uses gentle macaron shades or low-saturation natural colors, highlighting the fabric's fresh, artistic, and sophisticated temperament.
